Year 5 were lucky enough to have Mrs Openshaw and the wonderful Church team visit us on Wednesday. Children were taught about the meaning behind wearing poppies and how we remember those that fought in the World Wars.
The children enjoyed taking part in a range of activities, including making poppies from felt, decorating biscuits, creating prayer bunting, origami and designing peace banners. They all had a brilliant time, and are very grateful to have been the first class to enjoy Messy Church since lockdown.
Thank you to Mrs Openshaw and all the helpful volunteers!
