School Council Houses of Parliament Trip.
Year 5 and 6 School councillors (accompanied by Miss Baker, Mrs Emson and Mr Walsh) took a trip to London on Tuesday 19th June to visit the Houses of Parliament. Our guided tour included seeing; The Queen’s robing room, The House of Lords and we were even lucky enough to see democracy in action when we watched a debate from the public gallery in The House of Commons. Afterwards, we participated in a workshop about The Crown and Parliament where we learnt more about the history of the how our Parliament has evolved since Magna Carta. Children and adults alike, had a wonderful day making great memories.
