Morning Nursey. Today’s activity is a sorting activity. Below are some examples of things you could sort.
This type of activities is great for developing pattern recognition (why do the groups go together) but can also be good for fine motor of using tweezers or spoons to pick up the objects to sort.
Another extension to this can be for the child to sort objects into more abstract groups. This could be things I like/don’t like. Things that feel nice/not nice. Using this sort of sorting is good for developing reasoning and verbal communication skills.
