How To Choose The Perfect Puzzle For Your Child | Premium Joy

Jigsaw puzzles are great for children to develop skills such as spatial awareness, fine motor skills, concentration, memory, shape recognition and problem solving to name but a few.

Today I am going to show you how to make your own jigsaws.

I don’t have any jigsaws at home so I have made my own!

I found some old Christmas and birthday cards.

Next I drew some lines on the back with a ruler (you could ask a grown up to do this for you) and carefully cut them out.

Then I was ready to make the jigsaws by putting the pieces together to make a picture.

Can you see what the pictures are?

Why don’t you have a go at this at home with some old cards or pictures from a magazine?

Ask a grown up to help you to draw the lines but you can try to cut them carefully along the lines if you think you can. Be careful with the scissors!

Good luck!
