We have been making marks this week using different things such as chalk, pencils, pens and even shaving foam!
We are learning to hold our pencil properly with our ‘bunny ears’. Children initially use a fist grip to hold a pencil but in Nursery they are being encouraged to use a pincer grip which begins to gives them more control over their ‘writing’.
If your child is drawing at home, please encourage them to use their ‘bunny ears’ to hold the pencil or pen. Thank you.
