We’ve had such a fantastic start to the week as we have focused on our nativity practice. With, costumes, crafts and storytelling, it has been lovely to witness the excitement building across both classes.
We have rehearsed our songs and we would love for you to continue running through these songs at home, so that when we are back in school you will be experts.
Parents/Guardians both of the songs that we have learnt are sung a capella and follow a familiar nursery rhyme tune.
Song One- A baby was born in Bethlehem
(Sung to the tune of The Wheels on the Bus)
A ba-by was born in Beth-le-hem
Beth-le hem, Beth-le-hem
A ba-by was born in Beth-le-hem
Long a-go
The An-gels from hea-ven sang for him
Sang for him, Sang for him
The An-gels from hea-ven sang for him
Long a-go
The She-pherds they ran to wor-ship him
Wor-ship him, Wor-ship him
The she-pherds they ran to wor-ship him
Long a-go
And Ma-ry did rock the ba-by boy
Ba-by boy, Ba-by boy
And Ma-ry did rock the ba-by boy
Long a-go
Let’s kneel at his crib and wor-ship him
Wor-ship Him, Wor-ship Him
Lets kneel at his crib and wor-ship Him
Wor-ship him
Song 2-See the star up in the sky
(Sung to the tune of London Bridge is falling down)
See the star up in the sky
in the sky, in the sky,
See the star up in the sky
It leads to baby Jesus
Wise men travelled from afar,
from afar, from afar,
Wise men travelled from afar,
to see the baby Jesus
Shepherds came and worshipped him
worshipped him, worshipped him
Shepherds came and worshipped him
at the feet of Jesus
