This week we have been practising homophones (words with the same sound but a different spelling). Many of them the children are already familiar with, so we would like them to practise choosing the correct spelling for different sentences.
To do this we would like the children to write short sentences using their words to reinforce them in the correct context, for example:
The cupboard was bare. not The cupboard was bear.
The dragon is over there. not The dragon is over their.
