Indoor Athletics

This week in PE Year 2 have been trying some indoor athletics.

 

For the standing long jump the children had to swing their arms and jump as far as they could.

 

   

 

 

In the triple jump, they had to hop, then step and finally do a jump.  The children marked how far they had jumped with a coloured cone and then tried to beat their distance the next time.

 

 

 

The final activity was a speed bouncer.  The children co-operated in pairs with one child counting to ten whilst their partner did ten jumps.  They then swapped over.
