The children are making fantastic progress with their new topic Yum, Yum, Yum. One of the areas they asked to learn about what was eating healthily, so we have been exploring the five food groups that are important to include foods from.
On Friday we read and quizzed on why each food type is important to our body and looked at the quantity it should make up of the food we eat. This afternoon we began to understand which foods belong in each group so that we can build a balanced meal as the next part of our learning. The children were provided with the resources and then given the opportunity, in groups, to display their work as they chose.
