Year 2 went for a walk around the lovely village of Kelvedon to give us inspiration for our new topic ‘Can we build it?’
The children looked at the various buildings in the community such as the Library, the Health Centre and The Institute. Miss Hutley spoke about the history of these buildings and gave the children (and Miss Jenkins) and insight to what the village might have been like in the past.
Also, we looked at different types of houses the village has and what different materials might have been used to build them.
All in all it was a very nice trip around the local community!
