This week Year 2 went back in time to the Ice Age.  With the help of the team from Art Solutions, the children created a large 3D display picture of a woolly mammoth and a cave woman.

First of all the templates were covered in newspaper pebbles and twists.  Next, the newspaper was covered in white paper.  After that, the white paper was covered in coloured tissue paper.  Finally, the finer details were added such as the eyes and the fur.

The children had to really persevere because it was tricky and it took a long time.

They did a splendid job as the photos portray.
