Today has been all about words. This morning we learnt the meaning of unfamiliar words from our story ‘Traction Man is here’. This afternoon we used different words to describe materials that Traction Man might choose to make a parachute from to rescue a toy.
We described the different materials as transparent or opaque, strong or weak, hard or soft, rough or smooth.
Then we tried them out to see which one worked best.
Next we will be thinking about choosing materials because of their properties.
