2S – Spellings

This week we have focused on the long /ee/ sound.

The patterns we have found trickiest are words ending in the /ee/ sound. For example silley not silly, honnot honey. Here are some common rules to use when choosing which pattern to use.

Often these words are describing words (hilly, spotty, snappy). These words are nouns. If you can hear a ‘k’ then you know it will end ‘key’.
