The owl who was afraid of the dark

On Monday we started our new topic and looked at our new story. The owl who was afraid of the dark. We read and listened to the story while doing different activities.

We copied nocturnal animal prints into sand.
We used a feely bag to help us think of words to describe the characters surroundings.
We role played the different characters to help us remember what they each said about the dark.

We went into the dark tent to help us imagine what the characters saw during the night.

Finally we discussed which character from the story we were most like and why.
