Conscience Alley

Today Year 2 were learning about deforestation.  First of all, we discussed the reasons why the rainforests are being cut down.  Then we talked about why so many trees shouldn’t be cut down.

Next, we  formed a Conscience Alley.  On one side stood all the children for deforestation and on the other, everyone against it.  One person walked down the alley as each child had a say to explain the reason behind their thinking.  After everyone had spoken, the children could swap sides if they wanted to.

Finally, each child wrote a letter about deforestation, giving their opinion on the subject.
