I though I would share the maths activity we used in class today. It is really good for gaining a greater depth understanding of number and place value. – Mr Salmon
To complete the activity you will need the digits 0 to 9. You could used playing cards for this, but you might want to turn a card over to make the zero card.
The aim is to make a two digit number for each of the following rules. You are only allowed to use each digit once.
- An even number
- An odd number
- A number greater than 50
- A multiple of ten (a number in the ten times table)
- A number less than 20

This activity can be extended by changing the rules to include different times tables or changing what number it is larger or smaller than.
