For those children that have been in school this week, we have been busy learning lots of new interesting facts about Disneyland. We’ve had a rollercoaster ride of an adventure, as each day we’ve been doing something new!
To start off the week, we learnt all about attacking and defending castles, which then led to us making our own catapults out of marshmallows! The best part was we then got to eat them afterwards!
Then we all wrote down some of the facts that we learnt about the methods and strategies that were used to attack and defend castles during the medieval times!
Moreover, this week we have been looking at money and looking at the value of different coins.
In addition to this, we also made our own Disneyland rides!
Of course, in PE we recreated the Disneyland Parade by exploring different movements!
Furthermore, we also got to make our own mickey mouse ears!
Towards the end of the week, we experienced true Disney magic and made our snowman, as part of our Frozen Science Experiment!
We had a scientific question to answer and then we made our predictions based on this question!
Then we tested this out and found that when you mix the two sub stance together a new gas, called Carbon Dioxide, is produced which caused our snowmen to expand.
Finally, on Friday, we created out very own story as a class. We rolled the story cubes to give us inspiration. Take a look at the story that we ended up writing!
Wow! This week has been a blast!
Remember, as Walt Disney said,
‘All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them’
