A group of our school councillors were invited to help plant some apple trees as part of a community project – The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Green Canopy of Tree Planting.
The apple trees are all varieties local to Essex and have been planted in the Community Orchard just off Kingfisher Way by the back gate into the school.
The children helped the Parish Council and Feering and Kelvedon Wildlife Group to plant the trees. Their digging skills were very impressive and they demonstrated great teamwork and perseverance.
We look forward to seeing the fruits of their labour in the years to come!
