The children in year 3 joined year 2 and their parents and carers to celebrate the Christingle service together in the school hall. Everyone was so responsible with holding their lit candles.
In the classroom we found out about the history of the Christingle ceremony and how it is linked to the Children’s society charity, which works to protect and support at risk and vulnerable children. This year was extra special because it is the charity’s 50th anniversary and the first time we have held the ceremony in the school hall instead of the church.
