Meeting a marine biologist and learning about endangered species.

Year 3 had an exciting visit from a marine biologist who is an expert in whales. The children found out all about how whales are studied and got to investigate some of the equipment that the scientists use to measure and record the way whales communicate with each other.  They also found out about some of the dangers that these amazing creatures face from things like over fishing, hunting and pollution. The children have been learning lots about the ways humans can try to help protect different types of endangered species around the world and the environments they live in.
