We have been learning about how the internet is a great resource but we need to be careful not to get tricked into believing everything that we read. To help with this, we used a website called Dog Island – a completely fictitious website about an island paradise for dogs. The children in 3F were totally fooled by this hoax website.
In future lessons, we will be learning how to use the internet safely and check the validity of the information we read.
This is a useful topic to discuss at home, especially if your children have frequent access to the internet.
