We have been learning about the different layers of the ocean and researhing some of the weird and wonderful lifeforms that live there. In art we looked at blending together different shades of paint to create the appearence of various depths of water. We even created our own version of the ocean in a cup! Using washing up liquid, surgical spirit, oil, water and black treacle to create the Sunlight zone, Twighlight zone, Midnight zone, Abyss and the Trench. We researched some of the weird and wonderful lifeforms that live there and captured them in our paintings.
