We have been composing musical pieces to represent an underwater predator chasing its prey. We considered the tempo of the music, which means speed, and we learnt that music can be slow (adagio) or fast (allegro). We also investigated the dynamic, which means volume, and learnt that music can be quiet (piano) or loud (forte). We listened to several pieces of music that demonstrated this and spoke about how a crescendo occurs at the fastest and loudest point. Here are some photos of our groups composing their own pieces. Some groups even used a conductor to help with the composition.
