Today we were lucky enough to have a visit from Hal’s mum, who happens to be a marine biologist. She shared some exciting information about the types of activities her job involved, the mammals she specialises in working with and also gave us some information on what we could do to help protect the marine environment. We had a look at the equipment used to record the noises that whales and dolphins make to communicate with each other under water and even had a listen to the sounds themselves.
