This week in 4S we had a little refresher on place value!
We worked on our place value grids and spoke about what comes after the thousands column!
Once we were a little more confident with this we decided to make it interesting!
We had playing cards with a partner and got to choose 2 each (to start with).
We would lay our cards down and read out the number but also putting them into the grid to show value.
Once Mrs Short had heard and seen our skills improving she challenged us to try and say and place digits of 5 or more.
Now, this was hard! (Evil Mrs Short!) It took us a little while to get the correct vocabulary going but after two or three tries we really nailed it!
