properties of a 3D shape – marshmallow style!

MARSHMALLOW MANIA!

 

Today, 4S were looking at the properties of different 3D shapes.

First, we recapped over vertices, edges and faces and played a guess who game with our partners.

Then, we were put into groups and went on a hunt for clues!

We got to run around parts of the playground and investigate our classroom for cryptic clues about a 3D shape.

Once we had found all the clues, we made our 3D shape out of marshmallows and toothpicks.

This way we get to understand where the faces, edges and vertices are and creates amazing talking opportunities about our task!
