Mental Health Awareness Day

Thursday 10th October 2019 – Mental Health Awareness Day

After a fantastic Harvest Service at the church, year 4 learnt about mental health.

We spent some time exploring what mental health means and then we discussed our ‘stressors’. After, we came up with ways to make our stressors manageable through doing activities that make us feel good about ourselves and importantly talking to someone!

In the afternoon, we had a variety of well-being activities to choose from:

  • reading
  • conversations
  • yoga
  • biscuit decorating
  • skittle patterns and conversation starters
  • colouring

We finished by discussing things that will promote our well-being.
