Friday 3rd April 2020 – Learning Tasks

Happy Friday year 4. We hope you’ve had a great, safe week.

Here are your learning tasks for today:

English/topic: own project

Maths: 2D and 3D shapes

Other: Easter Story

English/Topic: This half term has focused on ‘Hocus, Pocus’. How can you summarise and show what you have learnt? Comic strip? Reports? Website? Blog? Role Play? Recording? Song? Try to use as many writing skills as you can.

Our next learning topic is due to be ‘On Safari’. We will try to incorporate the theme into the learning tasks set. At school, we plan with you and try our very best to use your learning ideas. Please feel free to email us (details on the school website) with ideas that you think you and your peers would enjoy.

Maths: Following the learning on 2D and 3D shapes, explore your home. Create a learning project to display the shapes you find in real life. Could you make a model with label shapes? Could you create a large Venn diagram to sort shapes? You might have a better idea! Please check with an adult before you begin.

Easter: It is very nearly the Easter holidays! Here is a learning site about Easter:

There are questions and learning ideas at the end. How could you show more learning? Poster? Extra research?

Wishing you a wonderful Easter holidays. We are sad that we cannot give you these best wishes in person.

Be kind, be safe!

You could make sure you’re up-to-date with all of the My Maths set. You could continue to learn lots of homophones and master times tables.

Relax over the holidays and enjoy your time with your family. Try new things and help out as much as you can.

We hope to see you soon!

Best wishes,

Miss Reece and Mrs Hewitt.
