Over the past few weeks, we have been recapping simple spelling rules to make sure we understand the basics.
- The first ‘300 High Frequency Words’
- wh/w words eg. which, with, what, when, went
- Adding – ed and – ing (if the verb ends in as consonant, double the consonant then add the suffix) eg. hop – hopped – hopping
- One noun to plurals (ending in -y) = drop the -y, replace with -i and add -es. eg: bunny – bunnies
