5F – a busy end to the week (updated)

5F had a busy Friday – we begun by completing some maths problem solving challenges based on what we have been learning over the week. Later, we finished our week of guided reading, comprehension tasks and reading follow up activities. The extract of the book we have been reading is from ‘The Secret of Nightingale Wood’ by Lucy Strange – for anyone who would like to read the rest of the story, it can be bought from this website – click here

The children then completed a piece of non-fiction writing to explain everything they had learnt about leading a healthy life and how our body keeps us well and fights infection.

In the afternoon, we continued to work on our passing in hockey and focused on long distance push passes and how to control a fast moving ball. The children applied these skills in competitive games where they also had to adopt different tactics to improve their performance.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.
