Writing Roman Myths

Year five have been writing Roman myths based on the stories they had read in guided reading – perhaps they could read them to you at open door on Friday?

The skills they have been learning:

  • an interesting ways to open a story
  • adding description of character and setting by carefully selecting advanced words
  • writing accurately punctuated dialogue (speech) sentences
  • using punctuation such as: speech marks (inverted commas), an exclamation mark, ellipsis and a dash

Here are some photos of 5F completing some partner writing – the skill was different narrative techniques to end a story.
