Year five have been writing Roman myths based on the stories they had read in guided reading – perhaps they could read them to you at open door on Friday?
The skills they have been learning:
- an interesting ways to open a story
- adding description of character and setting by carefully selecting advanced words
- writing accurately punctuated dialogue (speech) sentences
- using punctuation such as: speech marks (inverted commas), an exclamation mark, ellipsis and a dash
