Year five have been writing a set of instructions for how to build a snowman. They wrote with a partner so they could discuss their ideas and decide how best to improve a set of boring, simple instructions to make them interesting and detailed but still easy to follow. Paired writing is an excellent way for encouraging rapid progress when the children later write independently.
