The second half of the Spring term has started at pace. The children in 5F have been learning about modern day Egypt and what life is like for children in Egypt today. Yesterday afternoon, they used the computers to research an area of Ancient Egypt that interested them and today they used books (referred to as . . . ‘old school’ or ‘like back in the good old days’ by some of the children) to find out about Ancient Egyptian life. Tomorrow they are going to plan, use drama and write a story where they are transported to Ancient Egypt. I wonder how many of the story writing skills from before half term the children will remember?
The children have told me what they want to learn over the next few weeks so a busy and exciting half term will continue.
