# 2.4.20 – Home Learning

Happy Thursday everyone!

Hope you didn’t get caught out with any April Fools!

Today’s Learning:

Maths:

Keep a diary over the next few days including times of things you have done. Make sure you write the exact time down in either analogue or digital (if using digital think about the 24 hour clock). For example:

6.31 – I woke up and went downstairs to have some breakfast

7 o’clock – I had a shower and then got dressed.

7.45 –

EXT: Flashing Lights

Norrie is watching the aircraft warning lights on the tops of some tall buildings in the city. He sees two lights flash at the same time, then one of them flashes every 4th second, and the other flashes every 5th second. How many times do they flash together during a whole minute?

Norrie then watched a third light. He saw it flash at the same time as the other two, then flash every 7th second. How many minutes before this light again flashes at exactly the same time as the other two?

English:

Write a character description about the character you chose from the picture on Monday. This was on pobble365.com and you may have to go back a few days to find the picture you used. Use the questions you wrote down on Tuesday with the answers to help you!

In your description you need to include parts about appearance and personality. You could draw a picture of your character underneath. Remember to include lots of adjectives, adverbs, similes and metaphors.

Find a quiet space in the house or outside where you can read your favourite book. You could read to an adult/sibling or yourself. Afterwards write a summary (in your own words) of what you have just read to show that you understand it – if you finish your book write a book review about it.

*Make sure you have completed your daily maths as a new one will be set tomorrow!*

Have a lovely day and I hope the sun shines.
