Dear Parents/Carers,
This week, your child will receive a timetable for the national curriculum tests (SATs) in English reading, English grammar, punctuation and spelling and mathematics. They have been undergoing revision over the last few weeks to help prepare them for completing these national tests. Please can we ask that your child arrives in the morning with plenty of time so that they do not feel rushed on these days.
Monday 14th May — Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar
Tuesday 15th May — English Reading
Wednesday 16th May — Mathematics (Arithmetic 1 and Reasoning 2)
Thursday 17th May — Mathematics (Reasoning 3)
To help your child please read the following:
- Each child should feel relaxed as they have covered everything (during the year) they need to know to be successful.
- A small good luck memento/teddy can be brought in that week.
- Please ensure that your child gets enough sleep the night before.
- It is usual to be a little nervous but the children have nothing to worry about as they have already practised by using the 2017 and 2016 previous KS2 SATs.
