Despite freezing temperatures, Year 6 enjoyed a fantastic visit to Imperial War Museum Duxford. We enjoyed exploring all things World War 2 related, from Anderson shelters, to Spitfires, to ARP warden huts. We were lucky enough to meet a survivor of The Blitz called John who showed us his Mickey Mouse gas mask and described what it was like to live through those times — we were fascinated. We also enjoyed walking through the Concorde prototype and visited the D Day landings exhibition. All in all we had a great day. Thank you to all our parents/cares for supporting this trip.
