This week our last group of Year 6’s had the opportunity to learn to knit a cuddly rabbit with the ladies from The Church Outreach group. Thank you very much to all of these volunteers who gave up their Wednesday afternoons to teach us a new skill – we have really enjoyed the experience.
For those of us who had already knitted in previous weeks, the challenge was to recreate a version of Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’ in small groups in an original style. Some of us really rose to the challenge and donned false beards and demonstrated excellent acting skills. Ideas also included cartoon strips and diary entries. Well done everyone, the results were impressive for the short timescale.
