During Independent Learning, we have been learning about the famous mime artist Marcel Marceau. Did you know that he was a member of the French Resistance and helped 70 orphan children escape from Nazi Germany? He used his mime skills to keep the children entertained and distracted during their dangerous and perilous journey from Germany to Switzerland.
We created and performed our own mimes where we had to use all of our skills to emphasize our facial expressions, demonstrate clear actions and – the hardest of all – no talking!
