Lots of learning

During Parents Learning Conferences last week, some parents said their children told them we do ‘nothing’ at school, so here are some examples of the learning we do everyday in EYFS to start some conversations over the dinner table!

Today in RJ we have learned a new sound and a new story.  Some of us have:

-practised recognising numbers to 10 with Mr Ladlow;

– been writing words in cards to show meaning to others;

– been building with Lego and the giant wooden blocks;

– counted objects and recorded how many  by drawing pictures or tally marks;

-pretended to be teachers and checked children know their sounds and tricky words;

-read a book with Miss J, telling the story then pointing at the words, using picture clues and initial sounds.

We are always learning!
