Nice and nasty

As part of our learning about opposites, this week we have been thinking about nice and nasty. We have been using our senses of smell and touch and deciding whether we like the smells and the feel of different things.

We had to guess what the smells were and record them with a smiley face if they were nice or a sad face if they were nasty. We used this information to make a pictogram in our maths meeting later in the afternoon.

We felt gloop and cooked spaghetti and thought of some great words to use to describe them – slipppery, slimy, creamy, gooey, wiggly and soft are just a few.

A few of us were unsure if they wanted to feel these odd things but we took the risk and ended up enjoying it!
