One of the children was looking for a spider in the classroom, so we decided to go outside and see if we could find any other creatures. We ended up finding lots! We came back and looked at the photos to get a better look at them. We worked out which ones were insects (6 legs) and which of the crawly things was a centipede!
“We need to look in the bushes.”
“There’s some ants!”
“The bees might be getting some pollen.”
“That’s a woodlouse.”
“A slug!”
“It’s going really fast!”
“It has 6 spots.”
“Spiders help us…they eat the flies.”
