Measuring

We do lots of measuring in our Independent Learning, for example when we are building or making things. In our Maths Meetings, we have been using the language tall, taller, tallest, short, shorter, shortest, long, longer and longest. We measured rockets based on their height (so using tall and short) and caterpillars on their length (so using long and short).  We want to say big and small, so it was quite tricky! Hopefully, we will use these words when we measure independently.

 

“Mine is a bit shorter”

“That one is 2 bits longer”

“This is a taller one”

“We need to measure all of them” (to work out if it was the tallest)
