Learn some new tricky words.
Adults – write these on paper (you can write them multiple times) and screw them up to make a snowball. Hide them around the house or garden for your child to find and read. Remember – these cannot be sounded out so children need to know them by sight. They might be able to use the initial sound to help, but that’s it!
I have tried to put them into groups, so think about which ones your child needs to learn. You can also display them on the fridge or wall afterwards.
