Tricky words and sounds – please practise

on

We hope everyone is well at home. It has been lovely to see some of the children back in school.

We just wanted to remind you of how helpful it is to keep a ‘little and often’ approach to keeping up with tricky words and sounds. Some of the children have forgotten lots of them during the break so we wanted to remind you of an easy way to practise them by doing a Speed Sheet: if you list the words or sounds several times on a page then children can quickly develop their recognition of them, which then helps to read and write sentences.

Start with those in their sound box and then look back at a previous blog post where we listed more tricky words. If you are unsure, please email us and we can suggest some options.

Thanks,

Miss J and Mrs B
