Good morning. You need to gather some sticks for today’s task!
Using sticks, make shapes with them. This will encourage lots of language to do with shape and measure, for example the number of sides and corners, longer and shorter sides, pointy bits, corners, round edges etc.
What shape could we make?
How many sides do we need?
Does it look right? Do we need to make that side longer or shorter?
Is it a round shape?
How many corners does it have?
Can you find a longer stick?
Practise the curly carterpillar letters. You can use a pen, chalk, water and paintbrushes – anything! You may need to give them a dot to help them know where to start. Remember, all these letters make the c shape first.
