Home Learning 3.2.21

Let’s start with a new sound today. We are going to look at the digraph ‘ch’. Remember that a diagraph is two letters together making a new sound.

The action we make to accompany the sound is use both arms at right angles to your body and make the action of train wheels moving ch, ch, ch.

Below I have written some words for you to sound out. They all have the ‘ch’ sound in. I’ll go through a few with you, it will be my turn first and then your turn so follow through each word with me. Then you can have a go at the other words in the pictures.

Can you write a sentence or two with a ‘ch’ word in?

I like chips

We have lunch

I sit on the bench
