Ow

RJ have been learning the digraph ow. You need to hold your arm as if you have hurt it and say ow!

Some of us played a reading game: if we read a word, we could hang monkeys on the tree. We read lots of words and managed to hang lots of monkeys before they fell into the swamp!

Some of us have been practising writing sentences with ow, too. George gave us a sentence to write and then we practised saying it. We then wrote the words, using finger spaces and listening out for the sounds we could hear.

We is a tricky word, so we copied it from the board. We could sound out went. We knew how to write to as we write that word a lot. We sounded out town t-ow-n and heard the ow sound.
