A visit from a snake!

RB were having a conversation about snakes and how they shed their skin when Mrs Pitt announced that she has a pet snake! Her son very kindly brought in Sidney the snake to show us and we listened carefully to different information about him. We even had a little stroke if we wanted to. He was a very friendly King Python snake.

Sidney is 10 and likes to eat mice. He lives in a vivarium with heat lamps as he likes to be warm.
Lots of us said Sidney felt bumpy. As he is a reptile, he has scales.
Sidney has a lovely pattern on his skin and he sheds his skin because it becomes too tight for him – a bit like when we outgrow our clothes.
Mrs Bull was brave!
