This week in Phonics we have learned the th, sh and ch digraphs.
To make the sh sound, put your finger to your lips and say sh. You need to push your lips forward. Words with sh: shop, ship, wish, rush, mash, shut.To make the th sound, stick your toungue out like a silly clown and say th. It is a quiet sound. Words with th: this, that, thin, then, with. We get a bit tricked when there is a capital letter in Th!Ch: use your hands to move like a train and say ch. We read words such as chop, chin, chick, chill, much, chuck and Chip.
