Lunches at Kelvedon Academy are cooked by Edwards & Blake.

THIS SCHOOL IS NUT FREE

(If your child has packed lunches, please ensure that all products included are nut free. Please note that Pesto contains nuts and should not be included in a packed lunch.)

The School lunch price is £2.30 per day (£11.50 per week)

All school meals must be ordered and paid for in advance online. To access ParentPay, please click link;            www.parentpay.com

Menus for the following weeks will be shown on the ParentPay website.

Please remember that the cut off time for ordering meals is 9pm on the Sunday before each week commences.

Meals cannot be ordered after this time online or in the school office and should you miss the deadline then you will need to provide your child with a packed lunch. If they are in years 3, 4, 5 or 6, prepayment is compulsory. This is clearly explained during the booking process. If you have not paid within 2 hours of booking your child’s meals, or there is insufficient credit balance in your ParentPay account, the booking will be cancelled.

In the event that your child is absent from school your order will be cancelled by the school office and you will not be charged for the meal.

Each meal taken will be debited from your child’s ParentPay account on the day of provision.

Year R, 1 and 2 pupils and those eligible for free school meals also need to pre-select their meal choices online. If a meal is not pre-ordered by the cut off time you will need to contact the school office in order for an ’emergency meal’ to be ordered.

Year N pupils (Nursery) will require a packed lunch if they do all day sessions, or do Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday afternoon only sessions. (A healthy lunch with no sweets of chocolate bars; grapes, and other food items of a similar shape, to be cut long-wise to prevent a choking hazard.)

The usual menu has been replaced during the school’s partial opening due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Keyworker’s children and pupils attending school from Nursery, YrR, Yr1 and Yr6 (if wider reopening takes place on 1st June) that are still attending school can book a main meal on the revised menu on ParentPay. In order to provide flexibility for these keyworkers, the usual cut off deadline for orders of Sunday evening has been revised and meals can now be ordered by midnight each day. (The menu will be revised weekly depending on the availability of items required.)

To prevent contamination, no items can be brought to school from home. This includes packed lunches. All pupils that attend school (from 1st June, if wider opening takes place) will be provided with a FREE meal, pre ordered on ParentPay in the usual manner. (Details of the menu below.)

FREE SCHOOL MEALS

A ‘take-away’ Packed lunch option for all KS1 pupils (eligible to universal free school meals) and KS2 pupils that are eligible for free school meals, all of whom are not attending school, can be ordered in the same way on ParentPay.

Using the current social distancing rules, this can be collected between 12.00 and 12.30 each day from an area by the school reception.
